Just put in tray 6 and while it feels tight, it doesn't hurt. I think this means I am officially almost 25% of the way through when I end this one. That's exciting and I can see the change, especially in my upper teeth. Will post pics soon.

7/13/13 tray 5 in use
So, getting the attachments was painless but completely unnerving- mostly because of all the drilling and sanding at the attachments to get them to their proper shape. Because I had so many, it took a while and sounded terrible the entire time they were being put on. They also did some tooth shaping which has a more technical name that I can't remember. It basically felt like flossing with a sandpaper ribbon, and was surprisingly painless. After the attachments were put in place, they placed the trays on my teeth and to my dismay, they were easy enough to remove and didn't cause the same tooth ache that previous trays had caused at the beginning. 3 days ago I started my 5th trays for uppers and lowers and those also didn't cause much discomfort. I think putting them in right after dinner and before bed is a good idea that is minimizing the discomfort. I also have been pre medicating with Tylenol before each new set of trays goes in and I guess it's working. So, I'm into the 5th set of trays now out of 26 total and I can see the teeth movement which is a good feeling. I still have the way my teeth look with the trays on because it's far more visible than I had anticipated before I started on this journey, but it's working a I guess that's what matters. I have been doing horribly at trying to get 22hours of wear per day- some days I get only half that, but the teeth are still making progress and when I change the trays, it doesn't hurt like hell, so I think that's a suggestion that the dentist realizes may be far-fetched. That said, I am trying to be better about wearing them but because of my insecurities about their aesthetics, most days I will be unable to get to 22hours of wear. Either way, it's exciting to see the changes and feel them- my teeth meet in different places after each new tray. I will try to keep posting and hopefully get some more pics soon.
